Ingredients
  • 3 Piece mint branch
  • 40 Dekagram (dkg) sugar
  • 1 Table spoon (tbsp) lemon juice
  • 6 Decilitre (dl) water
  • 1 Peck salt
  • 2 Drop food coloring (green)
  • 4 Tea spoon (tsp) pectin

Method

This jelly may be used for filling chocolate cakes or garnish icecream or shake. Wash the mint branch and blend it with half of the water. Set aside for an hour on cold place. Than drain the mixture with a filter or cheesecloth, you will get a nice green liquid. Add the sugar, other half of the cold water, lemon juice a peck of salt, food coloring (if you want) and the pectin. Boil it on high degree for 3-4 minutes and stream it into jars immediately. Cover with a coat and let it cool down for a day. This amount is approx will be 1 liter of jelly.
