This pasta with potato is a traditional Hungarian dish, quite cheap and easy to prepare. In some cases you may find under the name of 'grenadir mars' however we mention only potato pasta in Hungarian homes. First peel the potato and cut them into half-inch cubes. Chop the onion and garlic and saute with the salt, oil and black pepper over a medium low fire. After 5-8 minutes add the potato and continue to simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add the sweet paprika, stir with potato and add enough water to cover it, not more. Cook potato until soft and gravy. While potato is cooking, cook the pasta with salt al-dente. Once pasta is cooked dran it and immediately mix with potato. No need to cook together, the dish is ready to serve. This potato pasta is best to serve with pickles, we used to eat pickled cucumber.
