Holidays - Memory game free printables

Improve your children memory with this familiar, colorful card game. Simply print, cut, and lay all cards face down, then find the matching pairs.

These matching games are fun to play but also fun to give for little gifts to children. These cards can help to improve long term memory during game, children who use printables for home study can keep thier skills fresh while having a great time doing it. You can practice the name of holidays, items or person during this funny activity.

The printable memory cards do not have the vocabulary written on them. This is a personal preference it is more of a distraction than a benefit. I want the kids to see the images and associate the words they are producing with the concepts or objects they are discovering. With the words on the cards, they become reliant on reading as opposed to remembering.

Game set up:

• Print the picture cards and creative kitchen backgound sheet on douplex, if you want.
• Laminate cut cards to give them longer play life if you like.
• Each pdf set contains 10 pairs of season related cute cards and creative kitchen cover page.
• Cut the cards and lay all cards face down, then find the matching pairs.
• Turn on always 2 cards and if not matching turn down and choose another pair. Try to memorize where did you find the pair previously.

Flash cards:

A alternative way to use these cards can be as flash cards for younger children. Flash cards are a fun way for children to see the objects and tell the name of the food item. They can start to learn about the different forms and shapes or just the colours of them.
